Gibson MB-3, circa 1937; serial number 1245-3. This interesting mandolin-banjo has a one piece flange Mastertone pot with 40-hole archtop tone ring. Unlike the style 3 banjos of the period which are mahogany, this resonator is maple and stained like the tube and plate style 3 banjos of the late 1920s and early 1930s.
