Gibson TB-75, circa late 1930s.
This is a most unusual banjo. It has the "leaves and bows"
inlay in the peghead, with "hearts and flowers" inlay
in the fingerboard. The serial number on the rim is 49-4. The
number on the resonator has been rubbed out. And, on the back
of the peghead is the number DA5063. It also has tab type tuners.
We obtained the banjo directly from the family of the original
owner. It is 100% original and, I assume, a product of Gibson's
"floor-sweep" era. |
