Wildwood custom
"Bamboo Parrot." This spectacular one-of-a-kind banjo
was built by Mark Platin of Wildwood. The pictures speak for
themselves. The neck is made of highly figured walnut, with abalone
binding. The fingerboard is heavily inlaid with parrots, and
another parrot graces the peghead. The resonator is burl walnut,
with a parrot inlaid; like the neck, it is bound with abalone.
The metal parts are gold plated and heavily engraved. Flathead
tone ring. This is a real showpiece. Expensive, and worth it. |
