STOLEN
BANJO ALERT: On Monday (26 September 2005) my builder shipped
me three of the new Turtle Hill Woody bluegrass banjos. On Wednesday
three boxes arrived; two of them contained banjos, but the third
one had been opened and the contents removed. We must assume
that a UPS employee took the banjo and retaped the box. The banjo
is mahogany, and is similar to the mahogany Turtle Hill Woody
banjo pictured on my web site, except it has a one piece flange
construction. The serial number 0517 is stamped on the inside
of the rim. If you see this banjo, or hear of it, please advise
me by emailing dave@turtlehillbanjo.com

A Trip to Stelling Banjo
A visit with Tony Ellis
Turtle Hill Banjo Company is a very unusual shop. Although we maintain a
good inventory of new and used banjos, we do very little with
any other type of instrument.
New Banjos
We are authorized dealers for Stelling,
Desert Rose, Deering, Bart Reiter, Wildwood, Ome, Crafters of
Tennessee, Huss and Dalton, Gold Tone, and Nechville banjos.
With most models in stock, you wont have to wait months
for your instrument to be built. Along with very competitive
prices we offer friendly, knowledgeable, and personal service
before and after the sale -- just ask anyone who has ever purchased
a banjo from us!

Used Banjos
Our inventory of used banjos constantly
changes, and ranges from prewar Gibsons to nearly new instruments.
We Buy Banjos
If you have a banjo for sale, please give us a call. We are always
interested in buying, and pay well for anything we can use. Click
HERE to learn
more about how to identify your Gibson banjo.
Accessories
We stock banjo accessories such
as strings, capos, bridges, tuners, picks, straps, cases and
a large selection of instructional books and videos, all at discounted
prices.
Location and Hours
Turtle Hill Banjo Company is located
in southern Maryland, about 30 minutes outside the Washington,
D.C. beltway (I-495). We are about an hour from northern Virginia
and a little more than an hour from Baltimore. We offer prompt
shipment of instruments and accessories for those out of the
area. Our hours are by appointment; we are open most days and
evenings. |
